Joe Clokey was the son of Art Clokey, the creator of Gumby. My sister and I met Joe at a Gumby convention. He was very kind and friendly to us. A few years after Gumby Fest, we decided to watch some old episodes of the show. We got reminded of Joe, and wanted to look him up to see what he was doing. We then found out he died a year ago from a heart attack. My sister and I felt terrible, because in the brief moments we interacted, he felt like a life long friend. To commemorate him and his love of his father’s legacy, I made a clay Gumby for him. Rest In Peace, Joe.
