Upgrade BrowserThis family-run museum was created in the neighborhood of Arlington Heights as a way to make contemporary art accessible to low-income people of color. The neighborhood had lacked museums, but its founder felt it necessary to expose his community to the arts in an approachable way. In addition to galleries, the museum serves as a community hub with free classes, artists lectures, yoga/meditation and other activities.
